My name is Allira and I am a proud Biripi descendent. I was born on Darug land and grew up on Dharawal country down on the South Coast of NSW, Australia.
Growing up, I could see the ocean on my left and the Great Dividing Range on my right from my bedroom window. Attending a school with few Aboriginal students left me feeling disconnected from my culture, and the tokenistic celebrations only deepened that sense of separation. However, I was grateful for the sporting opportunities that allowed me to represent my heritage. With my dad and uncles playing professional rugby league, I had strong role models close by, showing me that I too, could achieve my goals and keep Aboriginal alive. I am currently living my dream of moving abroad and have been located in the UK for over 2 and a half years now.

Is to create designs that inspire and connect with people of every culture worldwide. Aboriginal art has the power to tell stories and pass down knowledge from our ancestors in a way that is non-verbal. Through my works, I aim to make a positive impact and educate people about Aboriginal culture from anywhere in the world.
I take a collaborative approach to every project, working closely with clients to understand their story and tell it through my art in a way that is better than they ever imagined!

A key moment that sparked my passion for Aboriginal art was seeing the elders paint at the Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa Cultural Centre. I was in awe of their designs and the knowledge they held, thinking, "I want to be like them." After that, I began teaching myself about the symbols in their art, aiming to one day create my own.
The colours in my designs are inspired by the landscapes I grew up with and the places I've visited across Australia—the blues and yellows of the ocean, and the greens and browns of the mountains. These elements are central to my work and my environment around me continues to fuel my designs.
I acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land throughout Australia and their connections to the land, sea and community. I pay my respects to the elders past, present and emerging. I extend my respect to all Torres Strait Islander people.
